Mopar NV245-NV247-NV249 Transfer Case Lubricant

is an OEM distributor gear oil from the American manufacturer Mopar, which was specially developed for use in the NV245, NV247 and NV249 distribution gearboxes from New Venture Gear (NV).

The Mopar NV245-NV247-NV249 transfer case oil ensures perfect operation of the transmission during a wide range of operations and ensures maximum traction in a variety of conditions – especially in the case of slopes, rough terrain or extremely slippery ground.

For which vehicles is the Mopar NV245-NV247-NV249 transfer-gear oil to be used?

Transfer cases are installed in vehicles with all-wheel drive and ensure optimum distribution of torque to the front and rear axles.

Oil change interval in the transfer case

The change interval of the transfer case oil varies from model to model, but is usually approx. 60,000 kilometers or every 36 months, depending on which case occurs first.

 The following quantities are required for the oil change:

NV245: approx. 1.7 litres

NV247: approx. 1.7 litres

NV249: approx. 1.2 liters

Are there alternative oil grades to the original transfer case oil?

For the NV 245, NV 247 and NV 249 transfer gearboxes, the manufacturer prescribes oils with the Chrysler release MS-10216.
